When you place the Knee-Rider on your knee, the bouncing up and down movement of your knee makes the horse look as though it is moving.

QAre Knee-Riders machine washable? A
No, this would damage the sound module.
QHow can we replace the batteries and
turn the Knee-Riders sound on and off? A The sound module for the Knee-Rider's realistic
toy pony noises is located in the cushion compartment just under the neck
of the Knee-Rider (*See Picture of battery pack and on/off switch). Open
the small slit to find the hidden compartment with a Velcro closure. Located
inside this compartment is the battery case with the on/off switch. For
sound, make sure the switch is in the "on" position.
QAre Knee-Riders safe for all ages? A As you know, all toddlers are different.
This is really up to the adult. Although we at Danoco are comfortable
in saying that the Knee-Riders are safe for children ages 6 months and
older.
QAre there any hard materials under the
fabric or inside the Knee-Rider? A No, the Knee-Rider is a plush toy pony that
has a battery case that is tucked safely inside the pony's neck.
QWho actually invented the Knee-Rider,
because we've heard more than one claim? A The Knee-Rider concept was invented in the
1950's, maybe even earlier! Those were made of wood, metal and the like.
Dan Olson was the first to invent a soft cuddly plush Knee-Rider in 1974.
